Ramon is the main point of contact for contract negotiations, estimating and field operations. He makes all major corporate, financial and sales decisions for the company.

Ramon had fifteen years of experience as a Union painter prior to launching Durango Painting and signing the company with the Chicago Painter’s Union in April 2004.

Leigh Arambula, Corporate Secretary and Office Manager

Leigh is the main point of contact for office issues, accounting, payroll, insurance, waivers and project reporting.

Leigh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Management from the University of Maryland. She had twelve years of experience in General Contracting as a Project Engineer and Project Scheduler before starting a full-time position with Durango Painting in 2005.

Alex Salazar, Field Superintendent

Alex is the Lead Superintendent addressing jobsite issues such as manpower, staffing, material and equipment procurement.

Alex had six years of combined experience as a Union Painter and Foreman before joining Durango Painting in 2008.

Raul Mateus, Estimator

Raul is a Project Estimator and the main point of contact for bid schedule information, proposals and bid requirements. He handles project submittals and is the liaison with vendors and material suppliers.

Raul has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Border Studies from San Diego State University. He has a broad range of technical, financial and managerial experience.

Sarah Scherer, Project Accountant

Sarah is the point of contact for Certified Payroll reports, project reporting and invoicing.

Sarah is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. She has had over eleven years of experience in Construction Accounting.
